With the increase in workload comes growing frustration with the useless software Kip use, based on some microsoft crap. I had a go with the new HTML version of insight Wednesday night only to find within ten minutes it had crashed four times; twice whilst trying to return to the previous view, once when the activity ended and then when I tried to change pupils. Then there was a small glitch with the spelling activity having no sound. I then turned it off. It seems they had spent more time and effort in making it look pretty and very little in making it work.

I also had two more Ambrose specials on two of the computers; one had some microsoft in the head programme that took twenty minutes to delete and as far as I know served no useful purpose. The other fix was simpler, just the Firefox maintenance addition that does it’s best to stop everything else working.

All in all, I was not a happy bunny when I then had to go upstairs and start again with two other computers. I haven’t found out why but, the one has a habit of deleting the usb mouse until it is rebooted and then the second insisted on updating all sorts of wonderful Msoft shit. I have now turned off the automatic updates again.

I have lost track of the numbers but, it seems I am gaining about two new customers a week ,often introduced when they turn up unexpected by me.

All very well for the bank balance but, with still no internet/printer connection at home I am finding the workload punishing.
