One of top news stories yesterday was the identification of defective stem cell that causes baldness. This may lead to a cure in the near future.
Now even as a near lifetime slap-head I cannot help but, think that the effort put into this might better have been aimed at helping those with real problems; those needing organ transplants, deaf, blind or even those who have lost limbs. All these things could possible fixed with stem cells but, they would probably not be as commercially profitable as the baldness cure for the vain rich.
Wonder if it will be available on NHS?
