I found this missive in one of my e-mails:

recent experiences have moved me to seek my scientists to develope a black paint that dries white for painting over white ceilings. No problems seeing if you’ve missed a bit untill after the ladders have been put away and you are sitting down with a cup of tea.
On planet Orton there is only one shade of white; Brilliant white.  If it’s less than brilliant – I don’t want it.

This ends all confusion at the decorating store:  Is the Apple white better than the snow white?  Will the Daz white from Homebase match the virgin white from Wilkinsons? etc.
