On the way back from seeing Adam we passed the new A & E department at New Cross. What an eye opener that was – not a single maoning pale looking person, no blood splatered bandages, nobody gasping for breath, just a bunch of ‘chav’ looking layabouts that look like they had no where better to go on a Sunday night.
We waited about ten minutes and there wan’t even so much as a coughing fit from the lot of them No wonder the department is overworked. It seems to be used as a waiting room for people that like siting down in endless cueues. You would think the department name would give them a clue as to what the room was used for. I am sure I have got the wrong end of the stick, but it really did look like all the majority needed was a swift kick up the backside and a couple of aspirin.
