Saturday, saw more relaxing, by the now becoming more popular, solid poolside walk.  Annette not to be outdone did three lengths  of the pool without touching the bottom. Pretty good going for the girl who doesn’t like to go deeper than she can touch.

The late afternoon sent most people packing as the late rain proved too much for the weak kneed.  We just made the best of it and did some last minute laps in the rain as we kept on swimming. There wasn’t much to look forward too so we kept on until it was too tired and then hit the barracks again.

Another quick batch of some three channel porn and get changed to see what was going on at the restaurants.  Not much in the way of the evening entertainment, just listened to the local sing a longs and decided what to go for to scoff the meals.

SUNDAY

Yet once again we are greeted by the locals with happy smiling faces that direct us to the breakfast tables and tea. I didn’t make a fuss – just straight in with the bacon butties.

Back to the pools for the local swimming events and we heard them doing rodeo riding on the ‘green horse’ where everyone was expected to last 5 minutes against the waist. I only saw this as it was quite a display and Annette was into some local bite for an afternoon chomp. Nevertheless, most people got 3 minutes riding before getting thrown onto the poolside where they carefully dismounted.  Looked good fun, but a little mindless.

Nevertheless, I had got a bid line up sorted for the night has we had our French restaurant booked for 1930hours and then an easy time to mosey across for the “Firedance”.  It lived up to its name with quite a bit of genuine Nancy drummers giving it some welly before the show got under way. I did like the action of the sixteen year old nympho who could juggle her pipes like no body gave a damn.

However,  we were in the French restaurant, and it wasn’t a very good menu, unless you liked snails or frogs legs for starters. It did strike me as being very “Bugs Bunny” in its layout and I was not disappointed that Annette too was fed up of there offerings.  There were some small portions of chicken and reasonable deserts but, the look of the French restaurant was just a big show. Thank goodness.

So back to the “Firedance”.  It was the only show where the actors had no other parts in what the other comics considered to be there entertainment and was for once a good night out.  There were a lot of couples doing the dances and music to the different beats and it was quite an amazing show.  Well worth the state and puddings from the French restaurant. This was such a good show that we watched again next Sunday before we went home. This we did without any more French food.
